By Kevin Burke: ‘i hate silence when it is time to speak’ is an exploration of the (in)visibility of women’s practice in history and contemporary contexts, considering how mechanisms and content of the “archive” can be unravelled and re-presented.
Using the open internet as my primary source of reference and material I was interested find out what narratives could be drawn and represented from a non-curated archive. I initial created the soundtrack/montage and then felt that a visual montage would help to enhance the piece.
