DVA & training in Dentistry

The Reflections Wall is growing in our project with The School of Dentistry. As we move through the sessions participants are adding more thoughts to questions of ‘motivations?’, ‘hope to gain?’ and ‘worries and concerns?’. Trainee student dentists have been undertaking a series of visual and theatre skills workshops with [DWAN]. Workshops are structured around knowledge and awareness of domestic violence and abuse; building confidence and communication skills; supporting and being supported; building in training into higher education; next steps for research. #domesticviolence

#NorthernWomen @ #MHF2016

For Manchester Histories Festival #MHF2016 we’ll be popping up at Idle Chatter on 7 & 8 June at Brooks Building, Hulme, and we’ll also be exhibiting at the Festival Celebration Day, 11 June!

Come and catch-up with the projects we’ve delivered over the past few months, including #HairStories; #NorthernWomen: narratives of women from North Manchester’s Black Health Forum, exploring social isolation, women’s space and cultural heritage; and the next steps on our digital heritage and #cyberfeminism project with archives and MadLab. On 8 June also get up close with inspiring material from the Abasindi Women’s Co-operative archive (usually held by the brilliant Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Relation Resource Centre.)

Finally … come and find out about our “A Manifesto for Feminist Archiving (or disruption)”!

We look forward to seeing you!
